בביה"ס הנוכחי

אין כללים ולא "חייבים" אבל מחנכים לפתיחות, לשיתוף, לקבלת וכיבוד האחר באופן מאוד אקטיבי , אמיתי ומעשי וזה ניכר בהתנהלות היומיומית.
הילדים לא ממעמד מסויים...אבל אין ספק שיש איזו יכולת כלכלית בסיסית לשלוח את הילד לבית ספר פרטי.

הכיתות קטנות ויש לא מעט יתרונות.
ובכל מקרה בחטיבה היא תחזור אליו...כי לכאן מגיעה כיתת המחוננים בחטיבה - כך שלגבי החטיבה והתיכון אין לי ספקות.

ואכן כל מה שמנית בהשוואה בין בית ספר פרטי לכיתות מחוננים נכון-

ההבדל היחידי שעדין גורם להתלבטות הוא שנאמר לנו שבכיתת המחוננים נוקטים בשיטות לימוד שונות ששומרות על היצירתיות ומפתחות את היכולות (אני לא חושבת שזה קורה בבית הספר הפרטי) וגם שבסופו של דבר מידת האינטיליגנציה בכיתה ממוצעת והיתרון של כיתת מחוננים בה נמצאים ולומדים עם ילדים בעלי אינטיליגנציה דומה לשלך , לא קיים בבית ספר פרטי.
השאלה עד כמה נושאים אלה קריטיים בהתפתחותו של הילד המחונן.

I don't think they are critical

at all for his development. The kids part - well, it's more fun and interesting and less frustrating to pass your school years with children that catch on fast, etc - but for
your personal development
I don't think it matters at all.

I don't think your creativity goes
away because you aren't taught with a special method.
The main thing the system can do to a gifted child, when it is bad, is cause him or her to not want to be in the system - but it doesn't take away their
desire to do other things, ability to be creative, solve problems, etc.

What I wrote

is based on my acquaintance with many gifted children, some of which were in gifted classes and some of which were not.
It didn't seem to have an effect either way.
The only thing I should mention in this regard is that most of the people I am talking about were highly gifted - it may make
a difference for those who are not highly gifted, in one direction or the other (and, like I mentioned before, it may even cause damage
to be in a gifted class if you are not gifted enough compared to the rest of the class).
