Hmm

I suppose it kind-of defeats the purpose if we never correct each other, but not many like to be corrected... I've seen in a grammar community abroad that people correct each other by writing the correction in brackets at the end of a (relevant) reply---I thought that was a nice way to go about correcting others. Another idea is to write something similar in a correct way. The important thing is to respect others and realise that hardly anyone speaks English perfectly. What do others think? By the way, `רוקד' technically is a participle (there's no real present tense in Hebrew), so Ferma[t] wasn't entirely wrong (except with spacing and capitalisation)

I agree. It seems a very nice and considerate way. Personally, I always had problems with English. Even though, I ever eager to learn new things, especially from my mistakes and whoever wants to correct me - you have my sincere gratitude.

I've just joined this forum a few minutes ago, so I'm not quite sure if my opinion matters, but incase it does, I think it's a good idea. If none of us get corrected we won't progress too much, so I'll just state that I don't mind being corrected if there is a reason to. I wouldn't mind being corrected every time I make an error, but I'm positive that it would piss me off if I was corrected while being right, hehe.​

Hi Yuval and everyone else from "English" forum. this seems to me like a very nice forum and I think I could use some practice in English (I haven't been studying it for more than a year now)... Regarding corrections - I'm all for them. I personally don't mind being corrected and I don't mind if someone writes a special message for that. Goodluck to us all.​

Congratulations. I think launching this additional forum is a really great idea. While helping ESL students with their problems and questions about the langauge is certainly very important, there should definitely be a separate place for people who are past those grammar questions and want to practice their English just by talking. I'd love to become a regular here as well, though it might prove a bit hard with my being (very much) in the army. Anyway, I shall try and pay frequent visits.
