waiting period for OHIP
wanted to share my experience of dealing with OHIP, hope it will be helpful to others: bottom line, the 3 months waiting period starts from the date the person gets a medical clearance, and not from the date he/she get the PR status, meaning that, in most cases, you can get OHIP as soon as you land in Canada. I found out about it the hard way - the OHIP office I went to claimed the 3 months period starts the day I landed but I appealed their decision and got a letter today that my appeal was approved and I'm granted OHIP retroactively.
