strange = מעניין?

במורפיקס (milon.morfix.co.il) אחד התרגומים למילה "מעניין" היא המילה "strange" - בהרבה מקרים אפשר להגיד על משהו יוצא דופן שהוא מעניין וגם שהוא strange אבל למיטב ידיעתי יש לשתי המילים משמעות שונה - מה אתם חושבים?

maybe they thought of the different

meanings "מעניין" somethings gets as an exclamation... "Strange", "extraordinary" etc. are certainly not synonymous to "interesting", in regular usage.​

חשוב על מישהו שמביט, לדוגמה,

באותה מצבה מהבדיחה..לפי הצעת החבר.. אותו אדם יעמוד מול המצבה, יגרד את ראשו, ויאמר: Hmmm...that is srange במשפט זה למילה Strange יש משמעות כפולה זה מוזר זה מעניין

לדעתי

הפירוש נובע מהדוגמא הבאה: "מעניין, חשבתי שהוא כבר הלך." אשר יתורגם:

"Strange, I thought he had already gone."​

במקרה זה לא ישתמשו ב-interesting, מכיוון שהמשמעות תהיה שונה במקצת.
