Hi Noa, I tried searching Google for English-language children's books, but unfortunately most of them are intended for native English-speakers, and would probably be too hard for a student of EFL (English as a Foreign Language). This, however, looks like a good site for teaching English as a foreign language (http://www.handoutsonline.com/). I've just ran across it right now, and I can't say I've ever used it, but it looks pretty comprehensive. The closest thing to what you're looking for would be "Theme Lessons": Make sure to choose subjects your student could relate to (like his family or his daily life), and keep the lessons at his level.
