immigration process through Israel
thought this info may help those who are starting and need to decide where to apply and if to use a lawyer - I applied for a landed in September 2002, without a lawyer, and my visa was ready on May 2003. I applied through the Canadian embassy in Israel. I decided to apply there because: 1) they didn't ask me to notarize my documents. 2) they were available over the phone and by e-mail ! I e-mailed them many times, asking different questions, and they usually responded within a day. 3) they check the application to make sure everything is in order the day you apply + give you a file number right away. I hope this helps.
