I have added a new picture of latch
in the gallery. It is the picture called How to Latch. This is how the latch should look from your point of view. If you are feeding from the left breast, then you are holding the left breast with your left hand, and holding the baby with your right. Your hand is on the baby's "oref" and not his head and your arm and elbow are pulling him closer to your body. Note that you start with the nipple under the baby's nose which causes him to tilt his head back and open a WIDE mouth, and that the baby is taking more of the hila UNDER the nipple, that his head is a continuation of your breast, and that his belly is under your other breast and that his whole body is more in the direction of your other breast. For those of you who are suffering pain while breastfeeding , this is the way to fix it. Let me know when you have tried it!! If you want to share pictures of your latch from this view, I would be happy to tell you if it is ok!!
