Equivalent course in Israel

Hello, I might want to take physics during the summer in Israel and to tansfer those credits back to my university. I need to do it in Physics I (PHY 111) and Physics 2 (PHY 112) , all I need to do is to find the syllabus of the equivalent couse in one of the institues in Israel and give it to the faculty and the Dean see if there's a match. The desciption of physics 1 course is : "Basic calculus-level course in physics treating mechanics and thermodynamics. Laboratory illustrates the physical principles discussed. " - So that's basically what I need, can anyone tell me what is the common name for those courses in Israel? Thank you.

Double major Biochem and Physics

Oh, alright

Well, first of all you should be aware that Weizmann doesn't have an undergrad school - basically it's a research institute and they only have a grad school. About the Jerusalem area (which is effectively the Hebrew U) and Ben Gurion - you need the physics 1 courses, and you should check if they're given in the summer semester. (There's a good chance that they are, because a lot of people take them.) However, you should be aware that they cover only mechanics, not thermodynamics, and don't have labs (labs are done separately). If you can read Hebrew (and you should be able to read Hebrew if you want to take the courses, but since you were able to post a message here I assume you can), then there are the links to the courses site: http://science.huji.ac.il/cdshnaton/maslulim.html http://bgu4u.bgu.ac.il/html/annual/ In any case, if you enroll in a university here for a summer semester, you should contact them as a part of the enrollment process to check how you can register and which courses are most relevant for you. Yes, I'm an undergrad now

I do speak and read Hebrew fluently, I finished highschool in Israel . I found this: פיסיקה 1 - לתלמידי פיסיקה Which might match what I need. (For some reason I thought that Ben Gurion U is in T.A) Basically, because I'm double majoring, Science Dean advised me to take phy1 and phy2 at home, she said I'm capable for that and also by doing that I could start taking more advanced physics classes once I get back for the 2nd year. I'll try to look some more, see if there is more stuff that looks what I need. By the way is there a website for professor's rank/rating in Israel? USA got ratemyprofessor.com , which usually quite matches. Thank you.

על תרמודינמיקה. הבנתי שבפרקים בפיזיקה קלאסית מדברים קצת על תרמודינמיקה. ד"א בהנדסת חשמל+פיזיקה זה לא חובה פרקים, נכון?

I'm just from Jerusalem, but I wouldn't really mind if it's in TA, Beer Sheva, Rehovot , Ramat Gan, it's just the Technion is too far I guess. I didn't see the mentioning of themodynamics in the course description . But thank you! By the way, how are these professors?

Ok, I got the syllabus for PHY II

Maybe this might help a little : for Physics II. Text : Halliday, Resnick, and walker, Fundamentals of Physics, 8th Ed. Learning outcome: Calculus-based introductory physics course After taking this cours,students are expected to have gained theortical ad applied knowledge in wave theory, electricity and magnetism. The topics include wave motion and wave phenomena, elecric field, magnetic induction, A circuits, and elctromagnetic waves.

Well,

I would say that the required level is more basic than what we had at the Technion in physics 2mm, which is the physicist's course. However, I think it fits very well with the regular physics 2 course (for engineering students).
