:a generalistic question
(Sorry about the English. Computer trouble) I am not an economist, and wanted to know your "professional" opinion of Steven Levitt and his views (as expressed in the book "Freakonomics" I read recently). How is he viewed and valued in academic circles? Is he obscure, an "oh, yeah, I heard of him once or twice" type of guy, or is he, like, the brilliant new star of the field? Accepted? Controversial? Fascinating new aspect or just someone with good public relations and a nice smile? Thanks. Idan
