I myself am

still studying towards my Menkyo in Kaze Arashi Ryu.I should have achieved this level several years ago.However due to the distance from my Sensei it is taking me more time. I was told this fact about the Kata from sensei Villaire himself Menkyo Kaiden. Like I mentioned above all the techniques are taken from this Kata. Sensei Villaire said seeing a master of Kaze Arashi Ryu would be as if you were seeing a Master of Tai Chi flowing from one technique to another in one endless Kata.OF course this Kata would have to be in Waza form,were both Uki's are reacting and counter reacting.Perhaps that is the way the knowledge of the system has been kept. I was told that upon arriving to Menkyo level all the techniques I have ever learned will be understood totaly once they are seen in the context of the Kata.​

By the way

Only a holder of a Moku Roku level(4th dan) in all three arts of Kaze Arashi Ryu: 1)Aiki inyo Ho (aikijujutsu) 2)Kenjutsu 3)Jojutsu ,can reach Menkyo level(licensed teacher or student master). Tessen jutsu and other warrior arts of Kaze Arashi Ryu are learned but do not demand a ranking level.There are only 10 practitioners holding Menkyo rank,and presently 4 Menkyo Kaiden including the present head Master.​

i wanted to ask you for quite

sometime now, is your system still represented somewhere is Japan?​

As far as I

am aware of,only in the USA, England ,Israel and India are there schools.In general the Tradition is closed to the public in Japan. Sensei Villaire received permission from The old Sensei Akihiro Nishiyama to teach the public outside of Japan, and all these schools mentioned above are students of Sensei Villaire. The other Menkyo Kaiden (three in number) including Akemi Nishiyama who is the head of the Tradition and daughter to Akihiro Nishiyama do not teach openly.They have private students and they Practice together alone. Sensei Villaire does not teach the public except at closed Seminars for the Menkyo ,and other advanced students. No one has ever met with Akemi Nishiyama or the other Menkyo Kaidens except through an invitation.Only a Ranked Menkyo can try to get such an invitation. There is a council of Menkyo Kaiden who makes the decisions,and the Head Master-Akemi Nishiyama. Our Dojo in Israel is highly respected by the council and the fact that I am a Religious Jew has been highly valued as well. This has been said to me by Sensei Villaire himself.​
