אני צריכה עזרה בהבנה של המשפט הבא. זה מובא מתוך תקנון אתיקה בארה"ב ואני לא מצליחה להבין את הסעיף הזה. אני לא צריכה תרגום אחד לאחד אלא את הרעיון של הסעיף. personal conduct may have a bearing on public roles and public responsibilities. the degree to which a public figure voluntarily conducts his or her life in public or the degree to which private conduct on the discharge of public responsibility should guide the publication of personal information. המון המון תודה!!!

the idea is

that when the media wants to publicise the personal information about a public figure it should consider: 1. whether the said person voluntarily conducts their life in the public eye. 2. the relevance of the said person's private life to their public responsibilities. For example, if a popular pop-singer flaunts her virginity the press should have the right to talk about her love life. On the other hand, the infidelities of a prominent, but otherise reclusive, scientist should be kept private.​
