The broody singer dropped the bombshell on her management team last week. She told them she was scaling down her workload and would not be available to promote her new single Slow, released on November 3, or the album Body Language, which will follow soon after. Friends say Kylie, who is 35, has been trying desperately for a baby with her new love OLIVIER MARTINEZ. Last month she was spotted visiting the posh London hospital where VICTORIA BECKHAM, NICOLE APPLETON and CLAUDIA SCHIFFER gave birth. She has also been taking vitamin B supplement folic acid, which women are advised to take before and during pregnancy to prevent birth defects. The sexy singer has already pulled out of posing for the cover of glossy mags, including Vogue and FHM. And in the diary section of her official website—billed as "updated on a regular basis by Kylie herself, find out exactly what she is planning for the future"—there is a blank page. Last night came the inevitable denial from Kylie's camp. Hope But a close pal insisted: "Kylie is a workaholic so it's unheard of for her to take time off. She's either pregnant or hoping to be in a few months. "Since meeting Olivier her whole outlook on life has changed. She has reassessed everything. She wants a baby and is concentrating on having one. She wants to focus on her personal life rather than her career." If Kylie is pregnant now, a bump would be clearly visible by November when she wants to stop work. And it would mean she and French actor hunk Olivier would become parents around May or June. Olivier, 37, who starred alongside RICHARD GERE in Hollywood movie Unfaithful, is said to have proposed to Kylie with a £24,000 diamond engagement ring. The friend added: "Kylie has been a changed woman since she met Olivier. Everything has clicked into place. They adore each other." Kylie, who has been dating Olivier for five months, has made no secret that she would love children of her own. She has said: "It's a certainty that I will have children and I look forward to the day. "I'd like them to have a good sense of self and to know there's no one else like them in the world. I'd want to tell my child that there's only one you, and it's the you that I love." Neglect Kylie also admitted yearning for her own family during her romance with love rat model JAMES GOODING. Asked whether she wanted "the whole husband and babies thing" with James, she sighed: "I think so, yes. I've neglected a degree of my personal life, which is not good." Younger sister DANNII fuelled the speculation recently by saying: "Kylie is the opposite to me. She wants kids. It's something she really cares about."
