Dear Nightwish Greetings from the Israeli Nightwish Forum! On October 6th 2007 our dream had finally come true. After working hard, a lot of anxiety [you will understand why] and of course, excitement, we finally saw you live on stage, in your first ever show in Israel. You left us amazed and all of us had the time of our lives. Well, after the great show you gave us, which left us speechless, we decided that we have to do something to thank you for the greatest show ever. The first time that we heard about the concert in Israel, we were shocked, some of us even thought it might be some kind of a joke; concerts in Israel had been cancelled in the past, and we were worried that it might happen again. We waited until the selling of tickets had finally started, and the forum was in full excitement mode, once again! Actually, we can say that the "count-down" to the show had started then... The time passed on and the excitement grew, and suddenly one day our deepest concerns were coming true... the Nightwish forum's managers announced that the show might be cancelled, because not enough tickets were sold. That was when we started doing everything we could in order to save the show. The entire forum was raised and we did everything we could. We hang advertisements in every possible place; we opened a special blog and commented in many websites; we sent letters to many big websites in Israel and also to some magazines; and of course - the special Nightwish party that took place just ten days before the show. Eventually, we succeeded. In 3 weeks over 2000 tickets were sold thanks to our successful advertising and our loyalty and love to you and your music. When we were sure that the show will not be cancelled, we decided to make you a special book. We wanted to show you how much we, the Israeli forum, appreciate and love you and your music. Some of us have gathered especially to prepare this book, and we do hope that you saw how much we love you, and that you like it. At the day of the show we had a huge meeting. The excitement was at its peek. And when you got on the stage, we thought we have never been that happy, and may we say… proud, as well. Hanger 11 was full; we were amazed of how many people came. At the end about 3500 people gathered, from all ages. Finally, the dream came true. We are so honored you chose to open your very first concert on your very first tour with Anette here, in Israel. The show was just great, and you guys were so good and natural even when the crowd was a bit violent [and we are sorry and apologize for that] Nightwish rocked Tel-Aviv!!! We hope you enjoyed the show as much as we did. Thank you so much for coming, for your support and for the show, and thank you for giving us such a good time. On behalf of all the Israeli fans in Israel, we can say that we really hope that you will come again in your next tour, maybe even before [who knows…]. Good luck with the rest of the tour, and congratulations for your gold, platinum and double platinum awards! Keep on rocking! Respectfully yours, The Israeli Nightwish Forum and Fan club
ערב טוב לכולם.
