אנחנו באמצע סערה רצינית בניו יורק שתמשיך כל הלילה. קבלנו את השלגים הראשונים היום והגובה של השלג כרגע הוא כמעט 30 סנטימטר, והרוחות החזקות (והשורקות) מעיפות את גרגרי השלג באויר וגורמות לראות מאוד נמוחה. מאד מסוכן לנהוג עתה ולכן כמעט אין מכוניות ברחוב מחוץ למפני השלג. מחר העיר תהיה לבנה כמו בשירו של אריק אינשטיין וכולם יהיו בחוץ ויהנו מהשלג. אך כעבור שבוע שבועים, ובמיוחד כשהשלג יהפך לבוץ חום, ההתרגשות תפוג ואנו וכמה מחברינו נתכנן יציאה מהקור המצמרר לאיזור יותר חם. אני מצרפת את "חורף" מארבעת העונות של ויולדי (VIVALDI) כמעט 7 דקות של עונג http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzCXjDuYQTA

בלי נזקים נוספים, ראיתי אתמול בחדשות את אהרל'ה ברנע עטוף מכף רגל ועד ראש מדבר על הסערה, לא פשוט. מסכנים ההומלסים. תודה לך על החורף של ויולדי, תענוג אמיתי.

תודה חברים יקרים על האחולים

בסופו של דבר הסערה לא היתה כל כך גרועה. חשבנו שנקום בבקר למטר או מטר וחצי של שלג אבל רק חצי מזה התקיים. CENTRAL PARK היה יפיפה, יער לבן וטהור, עם משפחות שהביאו את ילדיהם לעשות סקי או SLEDDING, ותסלחו לי, אבל משום מה גם אני הרגשתי צורך לזרוק כמה כדורי שלג ולראות אותם מתנפצים על עצים. לא מבינה את המנהג הזה אבל זה מדבק. אני נזכרתי באחת התמונות הידועות של מייק שהוא מצולם לבוש מעיל פרוה מרשים באיזה חורשה מושלגת. ידוע לכם איפה זה היה?

more snow daliat!!

hello dear friend, we had a big snow storm yesterday, and getting up and ,down from church yesterday,was a nightmare. i was lucky to have offers of car-lifts, all-day, but it was still a big worry, as the sunday,before christmas,is allways a very busy day. at, tea-time, 17.00pm, a 4 weel-drive car, driven by mr.. muff-brown, come to pick me up, to take me down, to help get ready for the carol service. he was keep very busy, going to pick-up people, as his car was the only one left on the road!!. the children were keep happy by, makeing a snowman, outside churc!!, and throwing snowballs, hedy, is right, you can not help to join-in, such fun!1, unfortunatly, rev.fr. gregory, would not join-in!!!. we had a lovely carol service, and then, we wait our turn, for mr.muff-brown to take us home, in his car, their were, 5,in the back-of his car, and 2 had to get-out, to let me get out at my home!!. today, the sun-is shine, but still very cold, and much snow, lots of love,mary.xx
