What do we tell our son
Our son is beginning to try and understand the ``why`` of adoption and I`m not sure how to talk about it. I know that the biological family was poor, but can I tell him that? I don`t want him to think that money is why he`s with us. Or as a friend`s adopted son asked his mother: will you sell me if you get poor? SO far the adoption book was enough for him, telling all the facts, and now when he came with us to the second adoption he got a better idea of what it was like, but he is beginning to need deeper answers. We know we should tell him that his bio family wanted the best for him and all that but will he be happy with that? Won`t he ask for less general explanations?
