Thanksgiving is in two months

I have time to think about it.

I thought it was funny

because it's not a real holiday IMO, and I don't know what kind of ideology you have that doesn't agree with Thanksgiving, but it must be strong.

The one that says

that when a whole group of people is massacred for profit you shouldn't celebrate it by killing a bunch of turkeys.

What do you mean?

What makes it not a holiday? Besides, even if it's not a holiday what does that have to do with its level of morality?

Hmm

Currently, I'm thankful for being given the opportunity to go back to Israel, even though my parents and brothers are staying in the US. I really appreciate this, even though my mum thinks I don't. Of course, I'm grateful for the related things, the most important of which is being able to go to uni in only around a month---that's something I've been wanting to do for a long time, and it finally happens, earlier than I anticipated. Everything else is minor. Even if I have to stop my studies for the army, and even if I have to give up mo'edey bet just to go and be with my family for Passover, and even if I have to give up one week of classes (which /is/ a lot
) just for their green-card purposes, it's important to look at the big picture. I've begun seeing like that only a few days :] Not that everything's absolutely great, and there is a lot of stress and much worrying and not a lot of support, but I have to look on the better side And I'm grateful for having impossibly-amazing friends, even though I don't get to talk to them too much now (because I live 7 hours behind, or 3 hours ahead); and I'm grateful for having some friends here, too, because it's important to have someone to miss, besides family.
