Two things which I have learned
A few days ago I finished rreading the book Flatland. It's a thin book (81 pages), sf, lovely one
Its full title is; Flatland: A Romance of many Dimensions. - by Edwin Abbot. As I was getting to its end I found there is no romance in it! So, I understood, the word *Romance* here stands for something else. Wikipedia, amongst many other explanations, gives this one: As a literary genre, romance or chivalric romance refers to a style of heroic prose and verse narrative current in Europe from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. Second thing I learned is the word *shew* which stands for *show* - old english. Besides the content of each and every book, there is always some new word with a new meaning. Anyone here experienced it too? BTW: How do you place the text to the left side of the forum page?
