Tweleve times a day?!
Hello Esther, I have recently started charting Alma’s eating patterns (was curious). She is 3.5 months old and currently weighs 14.15 lbs. (born 7.6). She feeds 12 times a day. Most feedings are short, 5 minutes or so, and she seems very satisfied and will not take the other breast. When she is done, she yanks back and loses interest (does not use the breast as a pacifier). I feed her on cue, the cue being her sucking on her sleeve. I never wait for her to wail/cry/whine. The night feeding are as follows: 10 p.m., 2 a.m. 5 a.m. Is that normal? I must add that I am a stay at home mom. We don’t leave the house much (due to the rough winter here in NYC), but when we do, I noticed that she does not revert to sleeve sucking and is overall less hungry than at home. Is that normal? Is it going to stay that way? It is very taxing on me … Thanks for your reply
