transfering folders using FTP

transfering folders using FTP

Hi All I need to transfer all files and folders from one location to anuother. Is it possiable to ftp folders, or can I use ftp only for transgering files? What is the command to transfer folders? mget *.* is used only for files... Thanks

Hey

FTP never meant to do this. That can be done by transferring an archive (1) of the subtree (in binary mode). ------- Regards, Aviad Avisar |סלינק|​

thanks What do you mean: Archive? what is the unix cmmand for archive? I need to transfer files \ folders from unix server.
