The Young and the Restless

It will take a lot for Mal Young to fix the enormous damage that recently fired Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps has done to the Young and the Restless. Too many irritated and disgusted viewers have stopped watching, and they never plan to ever watch the show again. She got rid of all the great popular actors and brought in actors that viewers couldn't stand. She also came up with stupid storylines that revolted the viewers and insulted their intelligence. From being the number one soap opera on TV - the Young and the Restless became the worst soap opera on TV. The worst that can happen to a soap opera is for viewers to stop caring about what happens to any of the characters. And, the stupid decision makers at the Young and the Restless have managed to accomplish that.

Jill Farren Phelps has destroyed every daytime soap opera that she has been associated with. The Bell family and CBS executives should have ignored her high-profile powerful status and fired her long ago.

The Canadian site at Global TV is working fine.

The kid who plays Faith will never disappear. She is everywhere. She has always been playing in movies while continuing to be on Y & R.

It's a shame that Hunter King, the actress who plays Summer, managed to get the old and best Billy, fired from Y & R. The new Billy has no charisma and is all wrong for the part.

אבל אני חייב להודות שאני פחות שונא אותו עכשיו, בג'נרל הוא היה ממש נוראי... עכשיו הוא לא טוב במיוחד, אבל בהחלט סביר...

I have been watching it on and off for many years, long before it came to Israel.

As I have written, Executive Producer, Jill Farren Phelps, has been fired and replaced by British producer, Mal Young, who has been working at Y & R for about six months now as a supervising producer. However, the much-hated co-producer and senior writer, Chuck Pratt, is still there. The viewers wanted and expected him to be fired too, but he hasn't been fired yet. Hopefully, he too will be gone soon, as will all the silly and outrageous storylines. There is no new writer - Chuck Pratt is still the writer. Mal Young is not going to have much power until Pratt is gone. It's absurd that the viewers know much more about the history of the characters than the producers and the writers of the show. That is why they are about to give Jack an ex-wife and a daughter that he never had...

Jill Farren Phelps and Chuck Pratt were responsible for the horrible storylines. Jill Farren was the one who also fired all the popular actors and hired all of the new cast members. She was also the one who brought in Chuck Pratt and her friend Steve Burton (Dylan):

You are right - it's the old Adam that Hunter King got fired, not the old Billy.

I no longer like any of the characters on the show, except for maybe Ashley and Victoria. But, even their characters and storylines have become ridiculous.

בתקופה שאני ראיתי כריסטין הייתה עורכת דין בתחילת דרכה

וגם היה את הסיפור עם דני, דניאל ופיליס.... ואז את הסיפור עם כריסטין ומייקל שהיא התחילה לעבוד איתו.... אהבתי אותה אז אבל עכשיו הרסו את הדמות ממש חבל, אני לא מבינה למה אין לה ילד/ה .... סיפור מעניין משלה, משהו.... לא ידעתי שהיא שיחקה כנערה..... את גם לא אוהבת מה שעשו לדמות?

אם אני לא טועה הייתה גם חברות בין נינה לכריסטין......

The show has destroyed all the characters

There are no exceptions. None of the characters are likable now.

I liked Avery, until they destroyed her character:

I used to like the old Neil, but he too is a horrible character now. I can't stand Devon, Devon's father, or Hilary. The only black actor character on the show that I continued to like was Neil's brother, Malcolm, but he left the show to become a big daytime TV star.

Lauralee Bell was a teenager when she started at Y & R. At the time, Lauren Fenmore was singing with Danny in a band and she was "friends" with Traci Abbott. Actually, Lauren was a horrible person then, and she constantly bullied Traci, who was overweight.
That was before Danny and Phyllis, and Phyllis switching Daniel's paternity test results.
Nina and Christine were friends.

By the way, I saw Peter Bergman, the current Jack, a few years ago when I was shopping for groceries at my local supermarket - he was at the mall to meet his fans.

Ashley was not John Abbott's daughter. She and Jack would later discover that their mother (Dina) had an affair with Brent Davis, a tennis pro, and that she was their daughter.
