Please accept my apology that this situation may have given you the impression that your concerns are of secondary importance to us. This is certainly not the case. Please allow me to address the queries you raise in your correspondence. Telecom New Zealand Ltd is unable to provide you with a connection at present as there is no capacity on our Network in your area. Whilst we are aware of all the circumstances as to why you desire this connection it would require extensive Network upgrade for which there are no immediate plans. In your situation we have used all available capacity on our network to provide as many existing customers with a telephone connection as capacity will allow. There are no spare cable pairs available to provide a connection at your address. Once this was known we investigated provisioning this phone line via a deferred network system known as an 0+2. The 0+2 was initiated however it failed to provide a solution, subsequently a site visit and property investigation was carried out and it was determined that this method would not work at your property due to the distance of your property from the Telephone exchange. It is for the above reasons that we are, regrettably, unable to offer you a connection at this time. Donna will continue to manage your request. Should any capacity become available due to existing customers disconnecting it will be allocated, on a priority basis, to customers currently waiting for service. In the interim we are more than happy to divert your landline number 09-*******to your cellular phone *** ******* or to some other landline at no cost to yourself in an effort to assist you with your telephony needs. Please phone Donna on **** ******extn *****to discuss this option at your convenience. Unfortunately we are not in a position to assist you with your mobile call plans as your cellular connection is with another carrier. Yours sincerely Frans van zoggel.
