tascam pci822 problem...
I have a PCI-822 card in a PC running Windows XP. Connected to the PCI-822 card is a TM-D1000 mixer. I have the TDIF connection using the standard cable, and I also have digital in and out using coax with RCA connectors. I am using the mixer as a front end to a DAW. The DAW is running Sonar 2.2, but I'm about to upgrade to Sonar 4, but not until I solve the hardware issues. The issue is since installing the new XP driver, my machine has become seriously unstable, often rebooting itself. It is completely useless. At this point I have tried to uninstall the driver, I've tried to restore XP to an earlier configuration, I've even tried to wipe the drive and start over, though I have not yet done this . . . Specifically. When I click on the PCI-822 icon in the tray, it launches the PCI-822 configuration setting screen. When I click on the last tab titled "system" I get an error that says "P822Pnl (an unsupported operation was attempted). After this error message, the machine will not allow the dialog to close, the only way that I can close it is through "task manager" where I can tell it to end task. But as I said, the machine is now so unstable it us useless.
