I'm currently in the US, I've been taking belly dance classes with Johara in Boston (www.joharasnakedance.com), but I'm going to move to Santa Barbara soon, and I was wondering if you know/have any recommendations about teachers over there? There's one dancer over there, her name is Alexandra King. Can anyone please give me information about here? Belly dancing Raqs!

Try a lesson or two with 2-3 teachers and choose according to your feeling, since you’ve some knowledge already, you will be able to tell what is best for you.

Remember that the connection with a teacher is rather individual, and that sometimes a teacher is right for you at a certain time, and another teacher will be right at another period in your training. We’ll love to hear how is it going for you

I quote from my friends' email: With regard to SB no doubt about the - Alexandra King, she was my first teacher and she is amazing. For some extra teaching she can go with Judeen who isnt in SB itself, but sometimes comes down and teaches. There are other ppl, but they are all students of Alex, so you might as well go to the source - Alex King!
