Seven month old prefers solids

I hope it's ok to write in English - I have no Hebrew on this computer but answers are welcomed in either language. My 7 month old was breastfed exclusively for 5.5 months. We were a good team and there were no problems. He was born 4 kg and at 6 months he weighed about 9 kg. The problem is that since we started solids (just a bit early - and only because he insisted so much) he shows little interest in breastfeeding. I always offer the breast before solids, but he will usually only take a couple forced sips and then twist his entire body and show me he is not interested. He will gladly take solids, however. His daily solids intake is about 1 full jar (128 mL) of fruits + shkedia in the morning, 1 jar of veggy + meat soup at lunch, another jar of fruit in the afternoon and quite a large portion of cereal in the evening. (The food is mostly homemade - I just use the jars to know how much he's eating). One more thing - he sleeps with me and seems to nurse quite a bit throughout the night - but I have no way of knowing just how much since I sleep through it. So - is that too much solids for a 7 month old? Should I give him formula? He is my second child and I tend to trust children in these matters - but I don't want him to miss out on all the important nutrients. Thanks in advance for your advice.

That sounds fine

He is obviously taking more at night. How are his diapers? Are they wet enough? If you offer the breast after he eats, will he take some more milk? when babies are getting that many solid meals, they may only breastfeed twice a day, which is fine. Why would you want to give him artificial milk? You could always pump your milk and give that if you feel the need. He is obviously growing well on your milk up till now.
