Saluti from Tsucu
This is our last port in Turkey .Tomorrow we clear out and head our compass back home , closing this summer season. From Alanya we entered Gazi Pasha, a fishing port with no facilities, however, this is the site of the old city of Sillenus where the Emperor Trianus died, cremated and a large muzoleum was built there in his memory. There after a night voyage to Aydincik , another fishing port enroute. After that we dırected our bow to a nice bay on the East side of Ovacik peninsula. However, due to an E;ly near gale we took shelter in Ovacik fishing port for 2 days. The wind was blowing fiercly from the NE in this bay gusting 40 to 45 kn. Altogether we head Easterlies for the past 9 days from light airs to gale force. We were safe along side with electricity and water free. In the afternoon the gale was decreasing and by night it faded away. We sailed at 0100 to Tirtar marina, no facilities, and we arrived here in Tasucu at 2030 this evening. Rony Mualem asked me about a Marina North of Alanya. İf you do mean Tırtar marina it is far far East, the outskirts of Mersin can be seen from this place. İ will tell more about it after my return. Formerly i wanted to clear out in Mersin, however, reading the story of Mersin clearing in in the forum i decided to avoıd ıt. So İ,ll be back with you next week.
