כלומר בלי סלולרי משהו עקרוני נגד הקלות הבלתי נסבלת של להיות זמין עבור כל מיני גורמים. ישראלי שעזב השאיר לי את המכשיר שלו, הוא עדיין במגרה. כך שאני לא המומחה לנושא בזמנו המליצו לי על נקסטל - מאפשר חיוג ישיר בין שני מכשירים של אותה משפחה ללא כל חיוב, משהו כמעט כמו ווקי-טוקי, מכסה את כל קליפורניה וגם קצת מעבר לזה. המכשיר עצמו פחות חשוב צריך להתמקד בתוכנית (כמה דקות חופשי בחודש, והאם זה כולל לונג דיסטנטס) בעקרון את צריכה לבחור בהתאם להרגלי הקשר שלך הרבה שיחות עם הארץ או הרבה שיחות מקומיות.

Otherwise, the best is to decide first what plan you more or less need and then do some feet shopping. Since a monthly payment accumulates and since the minimal time you sign for is one year it is worthwhile looking for the best plan for you. Remember that usually you can switch to a more expensive plan but not vise versa. Once you choose a plan compare several vendors for special deals, such as rebate coupons of 100$ for the phone etc. Look at the phone company shops (verizon, sprint, at&T, nextel, cingular) and the chains: Radioshack, circuit city, etc. There are also prepayed cellualr phones if you only need it for emergencies.
