Puppy Paintover
I totally forgot to address the poor puppy! Well, I think there are some stuff that can be pushed...the overall shading of the head/snout area with some more pigmentation, the shape and form of the ears (right now they are the weakest part and look like they are made of cardboard - mostly because of the distance from the head. I once worked on a commercial with a fake dog with ears made of cardboard, they looked like this and behaved horribly, it was a nightmare). Also I think the apple looks a bit glowy, but that might just be me (didn't have time to paint in that one though)...and you might wanna consider a dark background to bring everything out of washed-out brightness. Lastly, with everything getting so much bounce and the illumination on the puppy, the hard sharp shadow of the apple on the floor could be reconsidered...To save you some time imagining what I'm talking about I did a quick paintover to show what I'm thinking of. Save it locally and flip back and forth between your original and this to see what was changed
PS: I just met on the forums some guys who were raving about George, but it wasn't Roy, I spent my university time in the Technion instead of an art institute
Paintover: (sorry for the link, my browser won't let me upload the image here)
