need help teaching...

I was asked at my work place to teach a few people english. The group consists of a variety of people - russian, arab, ethiopian - and most of them do not know the basics. Just to explain - they are chambermades in a hotel I would love to get a few ideas as to where do I start from... Obviously the porpose is to teach them how to converse with the guests of the hotel and not teach them reading / writing/ Any help will be welcomed. Thank you

dude, if they are foren as well as not young then is a very big problem. It could be quite a hassel to teach them right now, but if you are intending to make them now basic english then you must hire a tutor for them because unless you have experience in english or a very good level in the knowing of english, then it's going to be very hard for you to teach them on your own.

try teaching them how to say "hotel words"

like, i'm not sure what they know, but think of any complaint a guest may have and teach it to them. ex- "can i have some more pillows"? then teach them stuff like "elevator, bathroom"..locations of places etc.
