Dear all, My P.C has died. Last Friday my old PC made some final noises (I never knew that a PC can make such noises) and passed out. My neighbour who works in IT has confirmed his official death. I am now wondering about buying a new computer, and I think I might try the Mac (e-mac, its about 1,200$AUS). However, I have some concerns: I am a student in Australia and I study Philosophy and Theology (I do not do any kind of IT, design, graphics..). My question: 1 – as a person who uses only ‘word’ and ‘explorer’ – is it better to get a mac? ( I do not play any games or graphic issues…) 2 – Hebrew is very important for me. I read some comments in this forum, and I could not understand: could I or couldn’t I use Hebrew when using the internet or when wanting to write an article or a letter in hebre3w? 3 – I have a keyboard in Hebrew (of the PC, not with the USB connection), can I use the same keyboard in the mac. Please help me! I do not know anything about computers really besides: on/off, restart, writing documents, downloading, and basic issues. Thus, when you write here that I need to download other software in order to support Hebrew, wht doers it mean?? By the way, what is the equivalent of the ‘word’ program in the mac? And how easy is it to learn how to write with it???? Thanks a lot, I sincerely appreciate it, Toda (sorry it is all in English) Shalom, Bentzi. Melbourne, Australia.
