LOOKING FOR AN LGBT SPEAKER IN JER
The National Council of Jewish Women Annual Leadership and Solidarity week long mission will be arriving in Israel on Tuesday November 3, 2009. Along with our national president and executive director, we are expecting 30 participants from 12 States on this year’s mission. This year, as always, we view it as vital for our leadership to meet with the grassroots activists of Israel who help change society and improve it through their work. On Saturday, November 7th, 4:30PM , at the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem, we will be conducting a Women of Valor ( Eshet Chayil) panel of 3 women who have made a difference in Israel. We would very much like to invite a woman who has been an outspoken advocate and pioneer in the field of gay and lesbian rights. We are looking for someone who has excellent English and would like to tell her story of how she became an advocate. We cannot pay an honorarium but can reimburse for travel expenses.
