LeHigh- Penn
Hello there, I'm 18, currently in Boston. I graduated last June, and I'm not exactly intitle to a "full bagrut" since I didn't do hibur and history (part 2)because I was really sick those days, not any special reason. I did English 7 points, and majored biology and litrature. I was hoping to do history and hibur this winter, but I'm here instead so I kinda missed it. I now have the opportunity to go to school here and not really pay for it (my cousin is willing to take care that for me). I pushed back the army, so I'm leagley leaving israel. My tourist visa expires soon and I can't really extend it, as you probably all know. Therefor, I realized I need to get a student visa somehow, currect? Also, I was told that it is a bit late to apply to schools now, but I could try until even March, cuz they make exceptions. I have this once in a life time opportunity to really get academic education here, for free. Sad, but true
Oh well... So my main issues are, how do I get visa before being accepted to school, if possible? Can I just take the SAT's here in order to apply without sending a transcript of my high school diploma (which I haven't even gotten yet, and miss to bagruyot as mentioned above?). When can I take that Toefl test and where? How do I preper myself to that? Is it at all doable to take SAT's and Toefl soon enogh to apply for Sept 2005? Has anyone heard of LeHigh in Pennsylvania? It was recommended by a bunch of people. Any other suggestions for good schools here with an option to live on campus and maybe work there? Everything's possible except for community colleges. My bagrut average is kinda ... well... average. around 85. I'd choose to completely ignore that if I could. Thanks
