Just something
I wrote to a friend after visiting the "Verzaubert" gay film festival in Berlin last week. Maybe these are only my own superficial gay related phobias (probably also not as interesting for married people such as yourselves, but hey, sharing thoughts has never killed anyone) I must say I hate gay films... first of all, they're the only really expensive thing in this city. The idea with a film festival is seeing more than one film, but unfortunately, oe film is all I can see, since they cost 8€ each (for those of you living in other price standards, 8€ is luxury here in Eastern Europe). Suprisingly enough, there are quite a few israeli films there, but yesterday I went to see an american one. I don't really remember its name, but it was this corny story about a mormon missionary getting to LA, meeting this not really my type, but perfect looking guy, discovering his sexuality, getting excommunicated and living happily ever after in LA. The film wasn't actually that bad... but there are 3 problems, all being tiny particles of the same gay issue: >1 - haven't the people there heard of guys who don't spend 24 hours a day at the gym? >2 - how can a 19 y/o mormon from Idaho have a body most greek sculptures don't get? >3 - why's the only ugly guy in the film infected with aids? >Maybe it's just me, but 2 hours of seeing perfect guys shagging perfect guys and adding all kinds of weird concepts like "love" (said in the corniest way possible) and stuff into it can just be too much
