depends on the place, but can be.
be aware to the altitude of ground level in your DZ. if it IS higher than sea level, there can be a differece from what you'r used to. and like you wrote here - yes. if the place is higher than sea level, the air is thinner, and depends on winds and other stuff, anything that flying - flying faster, and anything that flying towards the ground - flying faster too(!). in that situation and aspecially with no wind, u'll probably have to flare more quickly and / or more early, and the whole flaring sequence might take longer (imagine it - like there is no wind in fornt of you to help you stop yourself) ANYWAY ask AN INSTRUCTOR for that - wherever you'r going to (tell them that you'r used to landing at sea level). so ask an insturctor in the DZ what is altitude according to sea level, AND ask them for any special winds / no winds at all AND if there are turbulences according to their knowledge with this area. BE AWARE TO ALL THOSE CRITERIAS - AND BE THE ONE TO ASK ABOUT THEM! don't wait till someone will just come and tell you. they won't! anyway - have fun, be safe, take care and ask a qualified person there (oh yes. and DIR BALAK)!
