Should people of colour go and stay in Russia

Heard a lot about racism in St Petersburg, especially two havoc incidents - one in 2005 and another in 2006, both involving Indian students getting killed brutally by racist ultra-right whites. There are also few incidents of murdering people of different Nationality and countries. Is the situation any better now? Is it safe for Indians to live in St Prtersburg and travel places? I really got into a very good Univ - ITMO and don't wanna lose the opportunity.

It seems that the government isn't doing much, and that there are even those in the government in favor of the movement. This is beginning to look like Nazi Germany, where many are advised to kill and millions stand aside and pretend to not see it.

Don't they understand that Neo-nazism would be their downfall? Every major country would stand against them, and this time, Germany would be on our side. They're killing thousands of foreigners, and one day, another country will lash at them for killing its people.

From comments I see online, many are in support of the violence and barbaric behavior displayed by these young Russian men and others just try to excuse it. With them there, Russia is not a peaceful country. Is that what you want for your country?

I just want to ask why many young Russians now sympathize with nazism. I'm not talking about skinheads. I'm talking about normal young Russians that seem to support the ideas of nazism and Hitler.

I just can't understand it. After the 20+ million deaths from the USSR by the nazis and the USSR having killed 70% of nazi soldiers in WWII. Why? Just why?

An opposite question can be asked as well

Is it safe for a non-english speaking white guy to visit Harlem, Chicago or even Trenton? Well, if you look entirely different from the regular population anywhere, you better be able to speak the local language. Otherwise - at least regarding to Russia - it can be tough and unpleasant.
