Is OZ old fashioned?

Each time when I watch a serial/film made in Australia, I notice that everything is quite old and looks like 80`s- the facilities,the streets and even the cars..is it really like that in some way?

כאשר לא מדברים על מלבורן, סידני ועוד ערים גדולות. האוסטרלים, בעיקר מהערים / העיירות הקטנות ובעיקר אלו שלא גרים על קו החוף מאד אוהבים לשמר מכוניות עתיקות, נוסעים ברכבים משנות ה-70 ו-80 , נכון שיש גם רכבים חדישים (בעיקר 4X4), גם המוסיקה שהם שומעים בעיקר בקלאבים היא מוסיקת רוקנ'רול משנות ה-70 ושלא לדבר על הלבוש, הוא מזעזע.

They do seem to be stuck

in the 80's when it comes to music (fixated about ABBA...) and also fashion here can sometimes truly hurt your eyes
