להלן דיאלוג שמסביר איך ג'סטין מגלה מה בריאן באמת עשה בנסיעתו.
At the Loft. Justin is relating to Brian what happened with the meeting he had with the guy interested in making Rage into a movie. JUSTIN: He loves it. He fuckin' loves it! He says its genius. BRIAN: Thats nice. JUSTIN: He also swears no matter what, the characters are going to stay exactly as they are in the comic. Hard ass, edgy, queer. BRIAN: Great. JUSTIN: Oh get this, when we told him that we based the character on you he said I have to meet this guy, so we made plans to go to babylon tomorrow night. Contingent of course on your availability. BRIAN: Well I'll have to get my tights back from the cleaners. [Brian is taking his pants off during this conversation and winces/moans in pain and that's when Justin asks if he's hurt.] JUSTIN: What'd you hurt yourself? BRIAN: I must have pulled a muscle in Ibiza. Justin walks towards Brian and puts his hands on Brian's shoulders. JUSTIN: I bet I can guess which one. Justin smiles and takes a sec to look at Brian JUSTIN: You know you look really tired. BRIAN: Just jetlag. I'm fabuloso, senor. Brian heads into the bathroom and he's wearing light gray underwear JUSTIN: I wish I could say the same thing about the shorts. Brian scratches his ass and heads into the bathroom JUSTIN: Don't jackoff in there! I have other plans. *Phone rings* JUSTIN: Brian, want me to get the phone? [Then hears the doctor on the answering machine talking about the surgery] JUSTIN: Bri...

JUSTIN: Don't jackoff in there! <Brian closes the door> I have other plans. <the phone rings> JUSTIN: Brian, want me to get the phone? <Justin lets the answering machine pick it up as he listens. The doctor leaves a message that she'd like to discuss Brian's post surgery options> JUSTIN: Bri... <end of scene> Apparently the doctor leaves just enough info to alarm Justin. Also, perhaps Brian was getting in the shower? Maybe that's why he didn't hear Justin or the phone.

../images/Emo58.gif די!

In Episode No. 412 of Showtime’s hit series “Queer As Folk”, Brian Kinney and his client, Remson, visit Liberty House. Hospice staffer, Gene, explains to them that the facility needs a cash infusion because donations have plummeted because there is an erroneous perception that no one dies of AIDS anymore. Once outside, Remson anticipates that Brian will ask him for a donation. Brian says that all he wants Remson to do is sponsor one cyclist in the “Liberty Ride 2004”. The unnamed cyclist is described as “an amazing athlete--a renowned humanitarian” and the pledge would be only $100,000! Besides, the good will gesture would cost no more than a one-page print advertisement and would be of tremendous help to the facility. Which brings us to Episode No. 413. Brian sneaks out of the loft unaware that a suspicious Justin Taylor is tailing him to his secret destination that turns out to be the Spinning Gym! The next day, Ben Bruckner, Michael Novotny and their ward, Hunter, are at the same location attempting to get into shape for the upcoming “Liberty Ride 2004”. Without their knowledge, Ted Schmidt overhears their conversation. As a perpetual “fifth wheel” perhaps Ted didn’t fancy being paired up with Hunter, even for the bike trip, particularly given his disastrous track record with blond twinks. All is not well with Melanie Marcus and Lindsay Peterson and the two have become the “Battlin’ Bickersons”. Worse yet, they carry on in front of Punch and Judy from the Centre. It’s unlikely that Philip and Tannis would be startled by a vibration and buzzing sound emanating from the sofa cushions on this visit. Seeking the sage advice of a relationship expert, Lindsay tells Brian about her problems on the home front. In a long distance, conference call, Brett Keller reaches the cartoon world’s latest dynamic duo of Novotny and Taylor at “Red Cape Comics” with the request that Justin fly out to California. Detective Carl Horvath arrives at the comic bookstore seeking Michael’s approval so that he may ask for Debbie Novotny’s hand in marriage. How quaint! On the upper floor of the “Grassi-Novotny Home for Strays and Waifs”, the presence of Debbie’s latest foundling, Emmett Honeycutt, impedes Carl’s plan to pop the question to his favourite waitress. Emmett descends the stairs to respond to someone at the front door. It is a red-eared Ted who has come to tell Emmett that he plans to pull out of participating in the “Liberty Ride 2004”. Perhaps, it is all the spinning, but Ben’s heart is also in a whirl. He, too, feels the need to enter the “Matrimonial Sweepstakes”. Oh no, not a double wedding featuring two Novotny brides! As if rearing young Hunter weren’t enough of a worry, Michael speaks to a very pregnant Melanie and expresses his concern about going off on the bike trip and leaving her and his unborn child behind. Justin is making tracks in a different direction and tells Brian about the call from Brett Keller and that he plans to head west, young man, to L.A. Getting ready for the big bike ride, Debbie and Emmett are busy assembling boxed lunches for the participating cyclists when Carl arrives at the Liberty Diner. Debbie is preoccupied with the preparations and the time is not right for Carl to propose to her. Curses, foiled again! Those boxed lunches must really be something special! To ensure that he gets one, Emmett goes over to Ted’s condominium and offers to go on the ride with him, if Ted is still interested in going. Remember this pair chanting, “Road Trip, Road Trip”, when heading to New York City in search of a young runaway--Justin? Next, it’s the rally leading up to the “Liberty Ride 2004” where cyclists are about to board hired school buses for the trip from Pittsburgh to, wait for it, Toronto! Tannis and Philip, from the Centre are standing in the box of a pickup truck thanking everyone for their participation. Debbie is on the sidelines handing out the boxed lunches as Ben, Michael and Hunter stand in the crowd. Brian and Melanie arrive just before the trio boards the bus to say goodbye and wish them a safe journey. Melanie once again assures a concerned Michael that everything will be just fine while he is away. Once the three are headed for the bus, Brian furtively ducks out of sight in the direction of a nearby white pickup truck. Emmett is looking over the heads of the assembled crowd trying to find the missing Ted before boarding.

Carl arrives and as Debbie stands on the steps of the bus, he proposes to her. She accepts the ring and a passionate kiss from her new fiancי. It looks as if Emmett has been stood-up until a very late Ted just manages to get on board and take his seat beside Emmett. With all their friends heading for T.O., and bucking the pervasive “gettin’ hitched” trend, Lindsay and Melanie decide to “uncouple” and end their long-term relationship. This upset cannot be good for Melanie in her delicate condition. Why, it’s enough to bring on labour! As the wheels on the bus go ‘round and ‘round, Debbie proudly shows off her engagement ring and Ben and Michael discuss the prospect of their marriage. Meanwhile, on the left coast, Justin arrives at Brett Keller’s home just in time for the party. Like strangers in a foreign land, Ben, Michael, Debbie, Hunter and Emmett, rely upon Ted and his trusty Toronto guidebook to lead them to someplace that seems familiar and welcoming. Sure enough, they find “Moosies” which is remarkably similar to “Woody’s” back home in Pittsburgh. It is so familiar, in fact, that it bears identical brass street numbers on the door. [With tongue firmly in cheek, the production used the actual Woody’s in Toronto that doubles for “Woody’s” in “Pittsburgh” and sparingly re-dressed it as “Moosies” in Toronto. Are you following all this? The American scriptwriters must think of a moose as uniquely Canadian. In reality, the beaver would have been a more appropriate Canadian emblem. However, it seems very unlikely that you’d find a popular bar named “Beaver” in the Church and Wellesley area of Toronto.] Once inside Moosies, it is as if they never left home. Who do they discover propping up the bar, so far from home? It’s that rascal Brian. Being called upon again for more relationship advice, Michael goes to Brian to discuss Ben’s desire to get married. Given that they are in Toronto, where it is not only possible but also legally recognized, what’s a boy to do? Emmett gets acquainted with a new friend, Jean-Claude, and Michael agrees to marry Ben. Hats and horns! While Michael agrees to “take this man”…Justin takes a meeting. Brett Keller introduces the younger co-creator of “Rage” to the studio executives, Marty Fenderman, and his associates Josh and Nina. This means that Justin misses the nuptials back in Toronto. Standing before a Justice of the Peace in Toronto’s City Hall (it’s not really), and surrounded by Debbie, mother of the bride, Brian, Emmett, Ted and Hunter--Ben and Michael get married. Congratulations, eh! The final scene has the newlyweds, their ward, two friends and Debbie at the starting line of the trip back to Pittsburgh when Brian, who was not expected to participate, emerges from the back of the pack to join his friends for the charity ride. It is billed as “2 countries – 320 miles – 1 goal - Liberty Ride 2004 benefiting Liberty House.” So, on your marks…get set…go! Looking ahead to Episode No. 414, the fourth season’s finale, everyone is converging on Pittsburgh. The cyclists are returning from T.O. and Justin from L.A. but what awaits them all in PA? While in L.A., Justin spends the night at Brett Keller’s home in the company of Connor James. The next morning, his surprised host asks Justin what Brian would think about Justin’s fidelity to which Justin replies, “We’re not married. Brian detests marriage.” Brett Keller advises Justin to get a move on because a car will be coming to take him to the airport for his return flight to Pittsburgh. The discussion moves to Mr. Keller’s offer and the career opportunity awaiting Justin in L.A. to which Justin replies, “I want to do it. I’m coming back.”
