I just saw the WBC demonstration pictures from Kansas city. Seeing those pictures put a knife through my heart. I'm sad that in this day and age people still see a label and not a person. I'm Jewish. My grandmother is a holocaust survivor. Only in the last few years she started sharing some of her experiences from "there". Only recently I've started to realize what she went through. So for me, the hate signs are arrows going straight through my chest. I have a lot of gay friends. They are some of the most beautiful (inside and out),strong and creative people I know. I'm honored to have them as my friends. Most of them have paid a price for being out. I honestly don't know which sign hurts me more. Part of the reason I love Adam is because he inspires us to celebrate out differences. If everyone were the same the world would be kinda boring, no? To those who wish we'd disappear I say: I will not go gentle into that good night. I will stand here, amongst my friends, and love. We'll love so passionately, so purely, so whole heartedly, that the light of our love will chase away the darkness of your hate. "Love overcomes hate, love has no color, no orientation.
