i almost pissed myself when i read your post 1) LOL.. first .. it was a missile.. rather a rocket .. and one propelled by water... .. second.. "Almost to space" ... i cant remember at what distance the atmosphere ends and "space" begins.. but i assume it's not as low as 8 meters... LOL 2)Space .. again.. LOL ... also .. such experiments are usually conducted in grade school .. and even at that .. they are better explained (i hope the error was of the newspaper's .. not the school) ... i hope they also extended the lessons to more than just "woo it moved up" .. and actually showed them how to calculate to what altitude the rocket would go ... and ofcourse.. learn the basic newtonian physics including formulas 3) I dont understand why you used bold letters to show that GIRLS do "scientific" experiments ... maybe to show that FINALLY the relgious are starting to see females as equals BTW.. you can buy a kit like the ones they used for 40 nis at Toy's R Us .. the recommended age is normally 6 years old ... i dont see how high school students concider that as "advanced and complex scientific experiments ".. Here's a little "advanced and complex scientific experiment" for you that deals with Particle-Wave duality of Photons (ah ha) Put two of your fingers together .. and look through the crack at their base (there should be a narrow passage at the base.. the knuckles should be wider than the finger itself .. ) If you've done it correctly.. you would notice black lines forming in the gap (.. as if mid air...with wider ones at the middle of the gap) ... walla.. you've just witnesed the wave like behavious of Photons - Interference Aint physics kewl?
