US Prog group Glass Hammer seem to be able to improve with every new release, and considering this has been going on for quite a while, no wonder the group is universally considered as one of the top acts of the genre. This concept album is full of all those typical elements that a great Symphonic Prog album needs - mellotrons, moogs & organs, long epic tracks, expressive vocals and mystic atmosphere. Need anything more? GLASS HAMMER ~ SHADOWLANDS 8th album from 2004. As difficult as it might sound, this US Prog band creates another masterpiece, both beautiful and challenging. They use all the classic elements of Symphonic Prog, with big sound, numerous instruments and delicate vocals. The 20 + minutes epic track closing the album is a true classic of the genre. Very difficult to ignore this one, as it surely will enter the pantheon on Prog. SPOCK`S BEARD ~ DAY FOR NIGHT 6th album from 1999. This brilliant piece of music firmly established Spock`s Beard as a member of the premier league if not the leaders of the US Prog by the late 90`s. An outstanding collection of sophisticated tunes and excellent performances, hardly ever matched by any other contemporary outfit. A musical tour-de-force for the ears! SPOCK`S BEARD ~ LIVE AT THE WHISKEY AND NEARFEST 7th album from 1999 and the second live album by the Beard. It includes material recorded at the Whisky club in Los Angeles and the 1999 Nearfest Prog Festival. This album shows clearly that the group is as good live as it is in the studio albums and the special energy of a live performance enhaces the already excellent material. A fantastic showcase of brilliance! SPOCK`S BEARD ~ V 9th album from 2000. Considerd by many to be the group`s coup de grace, this is surely the apex of their career. They manage to bring on this album each and every element of their creative forces to the peak, which results in a collossal work, worthy a honorable position in the Prog pantheon. An absolute classic and a must in every Prog collection. SPOCK`S BEARD ~ THERE & HERE 10th album from 2001. It includes live material recorded in the US and Europe during the extended tours the Beard made following the release of `V`. They play material from all the albums and as usual in live perfromances the tunes are expanded and extended, including lengthy improvisations. For Beard fans this is nothing short of a delight. =============================== Many items back in stock! =============================== Have Fun! In time it became a much looked after rarity untill this CD reissue brought it back into circulation. One of those unforgetable treasures, once you put it on your player you just can`t take it off. And of course a great H. R. Giger cover! SONUS UMBRA ~ SPIRITUAL VERTIGO 3rd album from 2003 by this great US Prog band, which includes Mexican members who immigrated to the US. On this album they manage to define even more precisely a unique sound, which although bearing significantly on the classic Prog tradition still manages to be innovative and fresh. Excellent musicianship and great compositions make this a worthwhile musical experience. TRANSATLANTIC ~ SMPT:E 1st album from 2000. Transatlantic are the first Prog Supergroup as it really is a gathering of members from some of the best Prog groups in existence: Roine Stolt comes from The Flower Kings, Neal Morse from Spock`s Beard, Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater and Pete Trewavas from Marillion. With such legacy on their shoulders the expectations were high but luckily the group mamages to live up to the promises. The create some of the most exciting Prog and Fusion there is. This is really exciting! TRANSATLANTIC ~ LIVE IN AMERICA 2nd album from 2001. In between their debut album and the follow up 2nd studio album the group toured the US extensively and this album brings out the best of those live performances. The material includes much of the sebut album, but of course the tunes are expanded and include ad-hoc improvisations. Additional material includes tributes to past influences, among those Genesis and even the Beatles. Brilliant all the way! TRANSATLANTIC ~ BRIDGE ACROSS FOREVER 3rd album from 2001. Again they manage to create an exciting and momentous Prog epic, full of great melodies and stunning instrumental work. Two of the four works included here are well over 20 minutes long - in the best Prog tradition. The talent and professionalism of those musicians is nothing short of stunning and amazing. Just put this on the player and get lost in the sounds! ============================ Many items back in stock! ============================ Have Fun!
