2 items added today: RETURN TO FOREVER - LIGHT AS A FEATHER (DELUXE EDITION) 2nd album from 1972 and one of the pivotal Fusion albums of all times. This is the last recording of the original (acoustic) RTF line-up with Joe Farrell, Airto Moreira, Stanley Clarke, Flora Purim & Chick Corea, and they perform some of the best music ever recorded with panache and elegance rarely acheived anywhere. Corea manages to make the electric piano (Rhodes) sound anything between a feather`s touch and a storm. Clarke`s pulsating acoustic bass is the driving force and Airto`s percussion work is the spice. The material on the second disc is as oustanding as the previously released one and it was a crying shame to keep it under wraps for so long. If you can have just one album - this one is surely a worthy nomination. AMYGDALA - AMYGDALA Amygdala are a new Japanese Zeuhl band (a duo in fact) playing some absolutely fascinating music. Using many keyboards and guitars they produce an intensive sound and very impressive melodies, with jazzy rhythms and long improvisations.
