6 items added today: QUIDAM - ANGELS` DREAMS 2nd album from 1998 by this superb Polish Prog band. The angelic voice of Emila Derkowska in the lead and some great instrumental performances by all the players in the band create together one of the freshest and most uplifting performances in recent years. On this album the vocals are in English. A parallel album with Polish vocals was also released. QUIDAM - THE TIME BENEATH THE SKY 4th album from 2002 by the Polish Prog band. This album includes the over 30 minutes long suite, from which the title is taken. Brilliant compositions and fabulous playing, not to mention Emila`s dreamy vocals, all make this a truly enjoyable and highly sophisticated musical experience. Poland is definitely taking a serious position on the conteporary Prog scene! CAST - A LIVE EXPERIENCE This superb live album was recorded during performances given by the best Mexican Prog band in the years 1995-1998. Studio albums by Cast are a great experience, but here they really show us what they can do, stretching and improvising on their melodies. Several tracks go over 20 minutes long and the vibrant atmosphere and supportive audience are felt throughout the album. KBB - LOST AND FOUND KBB are a Japanese Prog outfit, playing some of the most interesting music to emerge in that country since years. A mixture of Prog and fusion / jazz inluences with the violin as their lead instrument are enough to turn anybody`s ear. Definitely worth having and waiting for their next release. TRESPASS - IN HAZE OF TIME Trespass are a trio of very young Israeli musicians, who create music similar to ELP`s keyboard-centered approach. There is plenty of energy, enthusiasm and youthfulness here to make up for the lack of maturity. Fans of keyboards will love every moment of this! HACKETT, STEVE - LIVE ARCHIVE-NEARFEST Hackett`s performance at the Nearfest 2002 festival was to many of the festival`s participants the highlight of the entire event. Captured live in its complete form and released on this album, this music becomes a document to be shared my all those, who could not be there, which of course includes thousands of his loyal fans. 2 items added today: FAMILY - MUSIC IN A DOLL`S HOUSE 1st album from 1968 by this revolutionary, but sadly underappreciated UK Prog band and one of the greatest masterpieces of rock ever to be recorded. A mixture of blues, psychedelia and progressive elements, with unusual instrumentation and the superb voice of Roger Chapman create this magnificent opus. This is an absolute must in any serious record collection. FAMILY - FAMILY ENTERTAINMENT 2nd album from 1969 and every bit as good as the debut. The same musicians that recorded the first album are present here, so the sound and material are also similar. After this albums the group suffered from frequent personell changes, but maintaned a very high level of output. This is another masterpiece not to be missed. Have Fun!
