Matt Freeman of Rancid I'm sure many of you have heard that Matt Freeman was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Rancid posted an update on their My Space webpage today: We have received a lot of inquiries about the health of Rancid bass player, Matt Freeman. Your concern is deeply appreciated and here is the official word on the status of Matt at present: "Matt Freeman recently underwent a successful surgery and his doctors have determined that his condition is not terminal. Matt is now home and recovering well. Matt and Rancid would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, love and prayers."
