Hello my son is 7.5 years old who is sick with Epilepsy and ADHD. He has had epilepsy since the age of 5 years old. He is on a few different kind of pills Delalept which he takes 500mg twice a day Lamictal 100mg twice a day and Ritialin 30mg.. Since the last week he also started a new pill calledOspolot 200mg which he started off with 1 pill twice a day and after 24hrs he was put on 2 pills twice which brought him up to 800mg of Ospolot a day.. He started off on wednesday afternoon with this new pill and by the evening he had already had 2 attacks and he started to act different. My Thursday evening he started to be different altogether.. first of all he couldnt talk , walk and even wasnt able to read or write.. By Friday he was like a kid with brain dammage and by the weekend he was 100% . I talked to his doctor on sunday and he was anoyed that I bothed him in his clinic and he said that I was too upset and if I really wanted him to see my son I could bring him to Rishion and by the way he would put him in hospital to see whats the matter with him. Meanwhile I took my son to Meir Hospital and there all the doctors know him very well , as since he has had attacks he was always in Meir.. The doctors there said that he has had an over dose of the new pill Ospolot and he should only be getting 300mg a day not 800mg... and all the things that have happened to my son will take its course and we hope that he will be back to normal within a few weeks. Like I said at the moment he looks like a kid that has brain dammage and is also acting like that. My the way the name on the doctor that we went to is Profssor Lahat.. He is meant to be one on the best doctors that they is for children.. ...
