for a 100$ you can't get boots

but you can live in a really shitty room for one whole week I'm so happy I'm moving next weekend, no more Harlem, hurray Bushwick no more Hispanic no English speaking, all the time at home family, hurray well employed young roommates in a highly "artistic" building and today, for the first time since I got here- I actually had a longer than 3 seconds conversation with 2 of the Koreans here at my school. So things ARE picking up, or maybe I'm picking them up it will all be better after wednesday (sorry- this sort of became a rant that started from 100$ joke)

../images/Emo4.gif

my department is very supportive

I often sleep on the sofas here in one of the classes ot in the lounge. My food is in the lounge's cabinet and fridge, and I cook in the microwave. The Koreans are mainly, well...quiet. Most of them speak only with the other Koreans, since they're having a hard time in English, so I have'nt had the chance to see many projects yet. they also never ask things in class or participate on guest lectures, so it took my very direct approach of coming and asking "how come you never speak?" to actually engage in conversation oh- and one more thing about sleeping at school- my earliest class starts at noon, so I sometimes just stay and work here all night and then snooze a bit in the lounge.
