By way of apology for dangling his youngest child over the balcony of his Berlin hotel window on 19th November, Michael Jackson issued a statement later in the evening. Michael had used only one arm to hold the child secure and the footage of the child kicking with a blanket over its head had made news headlines all over the world. Michael´s statement, distributed to all news media, read as follows: "I made a terrible mistake. I got caught up in the excitement of the moment.
