השתמשתי בפאלם 3X ובכל פעם שקרא לי שהסוללות נגמרו לי, או שהפאלם נתקע לי, העברית המותקנת התרסקה. כדי לשחזר אותה הייתי צריך לגשת לדסקטופ, כך שאם הייתי מחוץ למשרד, היחיתי אבוד. אמנם אני לא מכיר טוב את העברית של הראל, אך לפי מה שראיתי, ניתן לשחזר אותה בלי דסקטופ. מה עלי לעשות כדי למנוע בעיה זאת?

Hebrew Disappearing

If you bought your Palm IIIx from Calanit (i.e., with Hebrew pre-installed by Calanit), then Hebrew on the IIIx should be installed into Flash Memory, and would not be erased. If you bought your Palm without Hebrew pre-installed, then it is installed like any other application, and will disappear if your Palm dies. As you found out, it can be re-installed from the Desktop. As far as I know, Harel doesn´t install Hebrew into Flash memory, so i think you would always need to restore it from the desktop. Installing Hebrew into Flash memory is something unique that is done by Calanit. I think that it is a big advantage to have Hebrew pre-installed into flash memory. If you have a Palm from Calanit, and the Hebrew is getting wiped out, you should contact them, and see if the will re-install it into flash for you.
