my 'story' is very complicated, because it;s been 3 years that i'm in a kind of 'war' for my son. he is high functioning and in theory he could stay in a regular class , but the problem is, that they are very unprofessional , they don't teach him any social skills, it is like he has only a body guard, and that is it! unfortunately he has no friends, and he wants so much to have friends that I took the decision to send him in a pdd class, now am in a new 'war' here, in my city there are only 2 pdd classes, one for high functioning that would fit perfectly and the other one low functioning and also younger kids, the MATIA educator reccomanded also the pdd class that would fit, but the 'problem' is, there are already 8 children and alre not ready to for the 9 th, with 'they' i mean nurit peri. my son is already 10, he is becoming a teenager, he has other needs, he wants to go down and play soccer with friends in the park near the house,but can't because he has no friends as I told, by the way, in the pdd class i asked for, is about 5 min away from my house, and 3 of the children live in my neighbourhood i was told , for privacy reasons i was't told who they are. nurit wants to send him in another city, or in the class in my city, that are low functioning and 2 years younger, but there are 7 children, and not 8! I tried everything to make her understand, she doesn't want to listen unfortunately. if somone of you could help me our, it would be more than wonderful!
