help with solids please
My son is 6 months old. He is a breastfed baby, never took formula. He does take a bottle of mother’s milk when he is at the day care. I feel that it is time for me to introduce solids. Here are the reasons: 1. Lately he his motor and verbal skills advanced significantly and he spends more and more energy during the day. 2. I had a nasty cold that caused a decrease in my milk supply, I am slowly recovering, but for the first time since he was born I pump less then he needs and have to use the stock I have in the freezer. I started by giving him zucchini , first time he took two spoons and then refused for more. I waited a few days, tried again, this time he screamed just from looking at the spoon, I tired giving him one bite, and he spitted it out. Then he attached himself to my breasts to make sure he still have the warm sweet liquid in them and not that green stuff. Waited a few days, and tried carrots he took a spoon and spitted it out with such a look of disgust. What should I do? Is he not ready for solids yet? How long should I wait? Is there anything else I should try? p.s – Unfortunately, I currently reside in the US and can’t attend your workshops.
