?"Have you heard of "Sharktale

Hi, how's your holiday so far? Yesterday I saw the new three-dimensional animation movie called: "Sharktale". (תפוס ת'כריש) Through the whole movie I found myself laughing out loud and my friends wiped their tears away. (which were shed out of laughter, of course) Anyway, the film takes place in a nice reef full of life and dangers. The reef is depicted so nicely and the characters are what I call- a piece of art! The funny thing about the characters is that they resemble to their impersonators. Take for example the main character: The fish called Oscar. Oscar is impersonated by Will Smith and he looks precisely like two peas in a pod to him! another example is Lola (Angelina Julee). In addition, the film divides the sea into some sorts of gangs and it teases each gang's odd accent and the way of talking. Except of all the funny visual effects, The plot of the film is simple, catchy.. the plot one would expect from an animation film... but the amount of pure laughter recovers it. To sum things up, I recommend you to go and watch this movie, it's worth it! (Correct my mistakes please...) Ron

Sharktale

You're 100% right about socializing in English, Matan. It's the best way to learn; I wish there was someplace I could practice my Spanish in a similar way. Glad to hear you liked the movie. I saw the promo but I didn't really know what to make of it. One of my friends said that it looked like a lame copy of "Finding Nemo".
My friends and I are trying to make up our minds on a movie to see this Thursday, I'll be sure to put in a good word for Sharktale. Today I went with my family to see some really interesting archeological findings in Beit She'arim. It's a place near Tiv'on that used to be a city in the first century AD, one of the seats of the Sanhedrin and the place where Rabbi Yehudah Hanassi, compiler of the Mishnah, is buried with his three sons. As the many languages the inscriptions on the graves can testify, Beit She'arim was a sought-after burial place for Jews from all over the ancient world. In Beit She'arim National Park you can find a really exquisite collection of ornate sarcophagi, which serve as a living museum of sorts of the art and culture of that distant era. This was a fun and educational experience I'd reccommend to anyone, and it sure beats going to see archeological artifacts in museums (and this is coming, by the way, from an avid museum fan). Otherwise, I've been spending this vacation studying for my Psychometric exam, which will take place this coming Monday, and making up some overdue mini-projects in Biology. This would be a good time to warn all but the most determined from taking Biology at a 5-unit level in high school... It's the most interesting subject I take but boy, does it require a lot of work. "Oscar is impersonated by Will Smith" - Oscar is played by Smith. Impersonation = התחזות

Hi

It's nice of you to pay attention to my topic message, read it and respond it. I'm glad I've managed to change your mind concerning the movie, or at least give you some of my opinion... It's nice to hear of your experiences during the holiday... I find your visit to the museum really inspiring. I'm taking the 5-points Bagrut Exam in Biology too, in fact, I've just started studying it... it's interesting
Good luck in your upcoming Psychometric exam... and thank you for correcting my horrible mistake...(isn't there another word for לדובב characters?) Bye, Ron

Hi Ron

Sorry for calling you Matan, I must have mistaken you for someone else. I think that in English, unlike in Hebrew, voice-acting borrows all of its terminology from proper acting in plays and movies. So, for instance, a character is played by a certain (voice-)actor. Thank you for your wishes of success on the Psychometric exam. I hope to score between 650 to 730, depending on how hard the Math section will be. If I do really poorly I guess I'm just going to have to take it again after my military service. Oh well. Are you taking the Bioda project, by the way, or the Biotope?

I'm gonna take the Biotope

Actually, I've never heard of the Bioda project before. I know that I'll have to take the Biotope this year. so... if you can tell me more about the Bioda project I'll be greatful.
I see that our conversation flows to personal matters so feel free to send me a message through the Tapuz private messages' system. Until then... Ron

Practice in Spanish

You can practice your Spanish in the appropriate Spanish forum, here in Tapuz. Or you can look for other Spanish messages-boards through the net. Try to search in Google, it can be helpful.
