French administration..Urgent Help
Im curently in Paris working as an au pair and studying French at the Sorbonne I dont have French passport therefor i need to get la carte de sejour.. this is where the nigthmare starts I arrived on Dec 8, with a 3 months student visa I waited ,a month just to find what place i need to go to get it, cause everytime i was sent elsewhere And then there were the holidays.. in short a mess. When i finaly found the place i was told I need to have my birth certificat translated to french, and then they sent me to another place where it should be translated. The problem is the only women there that spoke russian (im born in the USSR) was on vication. On the day she was suppoused to get back she fell of the stairs and ever since then she didnt go back. Its been almost 2 month now. I called today when she was finally supoused to be back and they told me shell be back in the begining of march. The problem is my visa ends on Feb 28th What can i do? Is there anyone i can turn to? I mean from my personal experience the french work by the book with no exception, but the fact is i did everyrthing in my power and beyond to get this paper, and its been 3 months almost and im totaly stuck. What exactly happens when your visa ends and you have no carte de sejour?
